We have inaugurated the exhibition, journalists have previewed the exhibition spaces, the artworks are set up, and the environments are ready to welcome those who wish to learn about the stories we’ve chosen to tell, interpreted by three exceptional creatives. We offer you a journey through time and history to meet Cesare Poma, Lucien Leroy, Henri Papillaud, Annie Londonderry, Nellie Bly, Elizabeth Bisland, Gertrude Bell, and the Smith twins. The story unfolds across various spaces, guided by the works of the three creatives we selected as travel companions for this adventure: Lorenzo Jovanotti Cherubini, the contemporary traveler, who, like the two journalists who departed sans un sou, moves solo to explore the world and brings back memories and emotions through his versatile art; Kristjana S Williams, the Beatrice of the North, who will “introduce” you, through her large works full of details, colors, inspirations, and references to the Library’s heritage, to the diplomat whose collections gave birth to this exhibition, as well as the two French travelers; Maria Grazia Chiuri, the advocate for irreducibility, who, with Karishma Swali and the Chanakya School of Craft, has taken care of the six brave women driven by great hopes, dreams, and the desire to assert themselves, tracing a path that is both physical and inner, a journey of the soul and of matter.

From today, you can book your entry for Saturday visits with audio guides, during which you will follow the narrative journey told by Giacomo Cardinali, one of the curators and project creators; you will have the opportunity to enter the Vatican and conclude your visit in the exhibition spaces with the Sistine Hall, the first nucleus of the papal library.

You can also book group visits (schools, associations, clubs, universities) or experiences to share with family or small groups of friends and colleagues. In this case, you will be guided by one of the curators, who will accompany you through the visit path and, additionally, to the historic rooms of the Library, usually closed to the public.
